CEO, Kent Dogey, formed ASAP in 2003 after 30 years in the solar energy field to answer the global need for large-scale solar electric and thermal applications. Educated as a Geologist and Astronomer, Mr. Dogey established Approtech Solar Products of San Jose, CA in 1973. Approtech manufactured solar thermal products which included: all metal absorber plates for low, medium and high temperature applications, box and glazed hydronic collectors for medium to high temperatures, solar ovens and solar desalinators.Approtech expanded its services in 1981 as a California Licensed General Contractor (#476924) where they were responsible for over 1,500 installations of active solar pool, water and space heating applications and hundreds of passive solar residential and commercial installations. Mr. Dogey established alternative energy programs at DeAnza, Foothill and Cabrillo Colleges where he instructed courses in active and passive solar thermal designs along with photovoltaic, wind, wave, hydro, geothermal and biomass conversion systems. He holds 12 patents in the energy field.
In 1999, he joined MC Solar Engineering as Vice President of Sales and Marketing where he established MCSE as a global leader in the Photovoltaic Industry. In the next 4 years, MC installed over 400PV systems totaling over 3 mW. MCSE rebuilt over 1 mW of photovoltaic systems at PV USA to useable, generating power plants. MC Solar has also been responsible for installing over 4,000 thermal systems since 1973. Collectively we have a combined experience making us one of the oldest and most experienced Solar Contractors in the world.
Our Goals
ASAP has been active in Spain since 2004 designing and building photovoltaic power plants totaling over 2 mW for independent investment groups. We possess an established engineering and installation team waiting to serve both the European and North American continents along with the growing number of future customers throughout the world. We are presently negotiating with businesses and governments in Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Greece, India, China, South Korea, France, Switzerland and The United States to supply these photovoltaic and photothermal design options.
